The number one market for sales of Viking semen this year will be Australia. VikingGenetics has its own subsidairy down-under and especially the sales of VikingHolstein is increasing, now with daughters in milk by a number of VH sires. Farmers are very happy with results – healthy, fertile cows with high solids, good udders and strong feet & legs. There is a big potential as 78% of the dairy cows in Australia are Holsteins and 80% of the 1.8 mio. doses sold annually are imported.
Anna Norgren is manager of VG Australia, Erik Thompson is advisor and Daphne Thompson does administrative office work. Currently they are looking a new sales person for the expanding team.
